Think you've used PLA+ before, this is the real deal!
What do 3DQF have to Say?
So you're looking for a PLA that can handle higher temps* or a material with more impact resistance than our standard PLA ? Well look no further than our new PLA+ ! Made from Natureworks 3D850 high crystalline material allows for some impressive improvements over our base 4043D PLA. With the ease of printing that you come to expect from all 3DQF filaments, this new PLA+ is sure to impress. Super smooth flowing and specifically developed for 3D printing!
Available in a selection of bright and vibrant colours and with super smooth printing performance there's a lot to like about this new range. colours and effects will expand in due course with some exciting products and effects in the pipeline
What is PLA+
So not all PLA+ are made the same, its worth pointing this out. We have found that a lot of marked PLA+ is in-fact our base grade of polymer which is 4043D. Generally when a manufacturer quotes PLA+ all they are stating is it's a better version than their standard grade, but at the same time not telling you what the standard grade is or what grade the PLA+ is.
For transparency, we disclose our materials and the benefits of each of them. There are two recognised PLA+, 3D850 and 3D870. Both of these polymers expand on the range and scope of what PLA can do. Our 3D850 is a high crystalline material allowing for annealing at 80°C, this improved the materials significantly and allows it to withstand temps in excess of 100°C. The material's impact strength is significantly increased allowing the material to bend and flex while also improving layer bonding while giving sharper prints and more vibrant colours. Warping is also reduced with 3D850 over 4043D.
